His Excellency Mr. Jon Benjamin accompanied by Ms. Liliana Biglou, Country Director of The British Council Ghana visited Lancaster University Ghana’s campus on Thursday, 18th June 2015.

After meeting with the Professor Steve Bradley, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Lancaster University (UK) and the Senior Management Team of the Lancaster University Ghana (LUG) and Trans National Education Ghana Limited, the delegation took a campus tour around the LUG campus with other faculty members of Lancaster University who were visiting Ghana as well.

Mr. Jon Benjamin tweeted “Just visited and impressive @LancasterGhana site here in Accra – the only fully accredited UK branch campus in all of sub-Saharan Africa.”

“It was an honor to have His Excellency Jon Benjamin visits our campus in East Legon. We discussed the various ways Lancaster University Ghana is engaging with the community in Ghana and the future development of the campus in Ghana. We were excited to update him on our expansion plans and we hope to have the High Commissioner visit us to speak to our students on International Relations”, said Prof. John Grainger who is the Provost of Lancaster University Ghana.

Also present during the visit were, Professor Cynthia Forson (Deputy Provost, Lancaster University Ghana), Raghav Lal (Executive Director), Professor Neil Johnson (Dean, Faculty of Health and Medicine), Professor Robert Geyer (Head of Politics, Psychology and Religion), and Professor Kirk Semple (Outreach and International Engagement, Lancaster Environment Centre) and Chris Pilgrim (Senior Vice-President,  TNE Africa).
