On the 29th March, 2022, Lancaster University Ghana organized a fire safety and management training for staffs across various departments.

The 2 hours intensive training which started at 10:00 am was facilitated by Mr. M. A. Korsah, Assistant Director of Safety, Ghana National Fire Service. The training was in two sessions; a lecture session and a practical section.

The training provided staffs the ability to not only train together, but also to improve their fire prevention and fire safety skills and how to coordinate an evacuation exercise in case of a fire emergency.

Mr. M.A. Korsah in his final statements, stated that this training is just the beginning as other simulation exercises will be happening in the near future as Lancaster University Ghana seeks to continually develop its staff through training programmes and workshops.
