On 16th to 18th December 2022, an induction ceremony was held for the cohort 8 of our Executive MBA programme. The ceremony was designed to fit over a long weekend, similar to how the EMBA programme will be taught over the next year.

The induction ceremony was spearheaded by Dr. Cynthia, Provost of Lancaster University Ghana and faculty from Lancaster University, UK and Lancaster University Ghana were present to warmly welcome all new students.

Dr. Cynthia Forson gave the cohort a brief insight into the EMBA journey and students were taken through some resources available to them, such as Moodle – a core learning tool to aid them in their Modular Executive MBA. Students were also taken through the process of accessing Lancaster University’s online resources which provides constant access to lectures notes and learning materials.

About the EMBA programme

The Executive MBA is a two-year part-time programme which is designed to develop your personal knowledge, skills and capability, while at the same time allowing you to suggest business improvements in your organisation. In contrast to many part-time programmes which require regular attendance at evenings or weekends, the teaching here is packed into short, intensive modules to help you balance your studies with your other commitments. Each core module starts with a two-week online course that gives you an initial overview of the subject. This is followed with an intensive workshop which typically runs from Friday to Sunday.
