Lancaster University Ghana Football Club (LUG FC) is one of the many clubs and societies on campus that students can join during their undergraduate years at Lancaster Ghana.

On Saturday, 11th March 2023, the Lancaster University Ghana Football Club (LUG FC) participated in a tertiary sports championship competition with five other universities in Ghana. The competition being the first of many others to come was hosted by Nexus Pro Sports – a social enterprise dedicated to developing elite African sporting experiences and sharing success stories.

The universities that participated alongside Lancaster University Ghana in the competition were: Lakeside University, Academic City College, Dominion University, Wisconsin University and Radford University.

At the end of the tournament, the Lancaster University Ghana Football Club (LUG FC) came in victorious and was crowned the champions of the first Nexus Tertiary Championship.

Kudos to Christian Hammond, captain of the Lancaster University Ghana Football Club (LUG FC) for leading the club to victory. Congratulations to all members as well for making Lancaster Ghana proud!
