As part of the Project Management module which is compulsory for all our Foundation students, they are put into groups and tasked to undertake various projects on and off campus. This year had our students coming up with new project ideas, and a group of students organised a Charity Run to raise funds for the Teshie Children’s Home.

Some of the past projects include a donation to Nsawam Prison’s female facility, Health and Hygiene lectures at various primary schools and the building of a playground donated to the Potters’ Village Orphanage, and the Les Centru team organised a 5 GHS per lap Charity Run at the Lizzie’s Sports Complex in East Legon.

The run took place on 8th March, 2019 and had people showing up help raise funds for the Teshie Children’s Home. Prior to this the students visited high schools in East Legon to speak to them about their fundraiser and collect donations.

After all their efforts Les Centru was able to raise over GHS 4000, which was used to purchase food items and other necessities for the orphanage. These items were presented in addition to a cash donation, to the Teshie Children’s Home on 17th March, 2019.

A big thank you to everyone who showed up and donated to this worthy cause! Well done Team Les Centru!
