Gloria Afriyie Kyenti

Gloria Afriyie Kyenti is a learning developer and lecturer on the Foundation Programme of Lancaster University Ghana (LUG). She has a BA (Hons.) in English and French from the University of Ghana, where she gained also her first teaching experience from serving as a teaching assistant in the Department of Modern Languages. Prior to her appointment to LUG, she taught in Pope John Senior High & Junior Seminary (Koforidua) and St Mary’s Senior High School (Accra) for three (3) and seven (7) years respectively.

Gloria holds a Master’s degree in Education with a major in Educational Administration and Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Her thesis focused on the impact of institutional philosophies on institutional practice, with a particular look at the impact of KNUST’s institutional philosophy on her teaching and learning practices.

With her rich experience in the teaching of high schoolers, Gloria helps Foundation Programme students to make a smooth transition from high school to higher learning. As learning developer, she runs academic skills workshops and avails herself for one-on-one consultations to assist learners with research skills, literacy skills, learning skills and life skills. She liaises with lecturers to monitor students’ progress in her academic support services. Gloria also teaches Critical Thinking, Research and Academic Writing modules. Her interest areas are pedagogy, literacy, educational research and learning development.
